"The Decision" of a Career

“The Decision” of a Career

One commodity that hasn’t seen any kind of shortage since “The Recession” started has been opinions. Everyone still has their originals about everything pre-Recession, and more than likely have added plenty to the list since then. When it comes to the NBA it’s no different. Although it seems this season many more non-basketball fans have had their opinions in regards to one LeBron James and his infamous Decision. Well guess what, LeBron apparently heard them all and he has a little something to say about it. If Kobe And LeBron Played One-On-One

Posted by J. Tinsley on October 5, 2010

As a LeBron James fan, it’s been a rough summer. The critics, the analysis, the Comic Sans font, the old heads. Pretty much, the guy has seen his image go from Barack in ’08 to Kat Stacks in 2010 in one offseason. Throughout the summer, I’ve found myself in a countless number of debates defending LBJ and the fact he’s still arguably the best player on the planet. That’s about the time when the wolves come out in defense of Kobe Bryant. True #24 supporters are a different breed of fans, you see.

They know what it’s like to have their favorite player be “Public A*shole #1.” Read the rest of this entry »

Carmelo Anthony….. Decisions

Posted by servontaym on August 17, 2010

The rumor mill is hard at work today if you haven’t heard the whispers have been that Carmelo Anthony is supposedly leaving the Denver Nuggets. This might be the best move for  Carmelo since he might be joining the New York Knicks. He would finally be able to return to the state where he achieved glory at Syracuse wining a national championship after one year in college. He would also get out of the Western Conference where Kobe Bryant has  claimed it as his own, so in real time Melo and the Nuggets wouldn’t be able to be on top of the conference for another five years.  Going to the East where most of his draft class counterparts are (Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Darko Milicic) would make the East respectable to watch again. After being in the West where the competition is way more tougher he could probably dominate the East every night with his potential teammate Amare Stoudamire.  It also could resurrect Madison Square Garden again at a perfect time. Remember the heated rivalry of the Heat and Knicks where you could always count on a brawl anytime the two teams met. Wouldn’t Spike Lee love to see this happen again and this is what the East needs again. And the last factor to all this is Miss Anthony, Lala she would love to go back to New York where her career first started at it would be the icing on the cake. Lets see how this all plays out and hopefully happens.

Michael Jordan Last Word

Posted by servontaym on July 20, 2010

I think this is what everybody has been waiting to hear for the past few weeks. Michael Jordan has finally spoken about the “Lebron Decision” . The greatest player of all time wasnt even impressed by Lebrons choice to join the Monstars  Heat . I think he said it the best “I would have never called up Larry and Magic and said lets play together.”  Just imagine if those players would have played together the NBA would not be what it is today filled with all types of competition. This might be the Kobe factor if you can’t beat him by yourself join forces and try to take him out together. Still doesn’t make it right you didn’t see Charles Barkley Patrick Ewing Karl Malone and John Stockton join the same team due to the Jordan factor. They tried to do it on their own so they can beat the best. I guess Lebron threw that saying out the window for the rings.  At the end of the day you have to beat the best to become the best so Lebron  will just be an amazing player never better than Jordan or Kobe unless he wins 10 rings.

Retirement Home

Posted by servontaym on July 16, 2010

I thought I had heard it all when Lebron said he was going to South Beach to join D Wade and Chris Bosh. It gets even crazier you remember the guy Anfernee Hardaway might know him as Penny Hardaway well he has come out of retirement. And the first team he wants to play for is the Miami Heat, I wonder why?   The last time I checked Penny had bad knees and  couldn’t make it happen for the Magic back in 98 and Nike packaged little Penny up. I guess you have to do whatever it takes to get you a ring. Look what you started Mr. James now everybody wants to come to Miami. The only good thing that comes from this is Nike starts making Lil Penny and Lebron James puppet commercials.

South Beach Miami

Posted by servontaym on July 7, 2010

The pieces are starting to finally starting to fall together after a week of free agency. The new piece to fall is who would Chris Bosh be playing alongside with. Early this morning the reports according to ESPN.com is that Chris Bosh will be in South Beach Miami joining Dwayne Wade and the Miami Heat. This is explains why Bosh cut off all his dreads when free agency started no more cold weather for him.

It is now up to Lebron James to give everybody a decision tomorrow on where he will be playing next year. The most important piece of the puzzle that will let all other free agents find a home. Will Lebron actually go to New York and join Amare Stoudemire at Madison Square Garden? Will he go through the tunnel and join his best friend  Jay-z  in New Jersey and bring the Nets out of the grave?  or will there be a new triangle offense run in Miami with D-Wade, Bosh and King James. Just don’t count Cleveland out  yet they are still the number one contenders in the chase for Lebron James. Tomorrow will be an interesting day make sure you are locked into BRONcenter tomorrow.

Free Agents

Posted by servontaym on June 28, 2010

In about 3 days the gates will open and NBA teams  will have the chance to talk to all the free agents available.  This might be one of the most anticipated free agent periods in NBA history and every team wants to make room for at least one max contract to get a big name playing for their team. These moves can make or break a team even bring a championship to a franchise.  The NBA draft started this frenzy with so many trades  and releasing of players, the Miami Heat made the most  impact by clearing enough room for at least 3 big name free agents.   With all this happening can Pat Riley keep the franchise Dwayne Wade or will he go back home to play with the Chicago Bulls ? Either way everybody wants  the biggest name out there Lebron James once he is signed that should seal everybody elses fate with teams. We might not have to wait for 4th of July to see fireworks the way this free agent class is stacked. Just imagine one team like the Knicks, Bulls or Heat   could get a combination of all-stars like   Amare Stoudemire Lebron James and Joe Johnson on the same team . This summer is going down in the history books.

"Welcome to Wade County…"

Posted by J. Tinsley on March 10, 2009

First Dan Marino. Then Luke. Then Trick Daddy. Then Rick Ross (maybe?). Now Dwayne Wade reigns as the King of Miami. What a difference a year makes rings no more evident than when it relates to #3. His injury from a few years ago seems so distant even I forgot what was really wrong with him.  It pains me to say this, but as much of a LeBron diehard that I am, the MVP race could come down to the very last game, very last quarter and possibly very last shot.
