Alba Lydia – October Featured Model

Posted by Ebony on October 18, 2010

It’s October and yes, the fall season is here, tempting us with that option to go outside looking groggy- but don’t fret! We’re here to show you how to keep it cute all year long.

While fashion trends may change with the seasons, smoking hot models are always in style. With her creativity and outgoing personality to assist her staggering photos, this month’s Grade A model Alba Lydia, is flaunting a bold style. Alba’s diverse portfolio speaks for itself so we had no problem with selecting her and her kick-ass style for this month’s feature.

She’s the model-type chick that can be seen gracing the cover of Maxim magazine or strutting down the Victoria’s Secret runway. This girl can do it all. So watch out Adriana Lima, we got another AL coming for your spot! She’s sultry and she’s fun. She’s definitely Grade A.  Check her out guys. Leave your comments and compliments about Alba Lydia below and be sure to visit her Model Mayhem Port and hit her up on Twitter. I’m warning you though, she’s something like, Amazing. Keyz – Apparently I’m Crazy (Official Video)

Posted by Mr. Put On on August 13, 2010

Now, as salty as I can be that I wasn’t a part of this video, I still gotta show love and give credit where credit is due. This guy Keyz, aka FutureIsKeyz is definitely beginning to set himself apart, and has hit the track running on this game called Hip-Hop.

His most recent mixtape, The Advantange was definitely a success as he teamed up with DJ Big Mike, and was able to shine some light on the Trenton, NJ native’s abilities as an artist. Now almost an entire year later and a whole lot of “Leaks” inbetween, Keyz has been in the lab, pen and pad before him, reeking havoc on beats.

Take a gander at this visual for “Apparently I’m Crazy” off his upcoming mixtape- Let The Black Burn, hosted by DJ Ill Will. Make sure you stay tuned for August 18th (just next week) for the official release of Let The Black Burn.

Self Explanitory – MMW (Music, Money, Weed) Vol. 2: I Juz Dnt Give A Fu*k

Posted by Mr. Put On on August 2, 2010

Design by @CBCustomz

It’s been a long road for Self-Explanitory. and I can truly say that in the last 365 (days, that is) the dude has really stepped it up. His lyrics, his flow, his ability, his message, his depth, they have all substantially improved since back in the day.

From the mispelling of his own name, to his image, to his music, his latest project is just that– Self Explanatory. “I Juz Dnt Give A Fu*k” is a title most fitting for this man who I’ve gotten to know in the past 4 years. Making headway in his rap career, Self-Explanitory has begun to do shows around the south, spanning Virginia to Georgia, and anywhere in-between. Read the rest of this entry »

Chance Fischer – “Sincerely Yours”

Posted by J. Tinsley on July 22, 2010

“Saw the wave of the future and I waved back at it…”

I know I’m not the greatest writer the world has ever seen, and I’m fine with that. I just hope that five or six people who read my stuff can see that I actually enjoy putting words together to tell a story. Nope, I’m not the best ever, but my mama loves me. That’s pretty much the same train of thought Chance Fischer takes with his music. I’m not touting the guy as the next Big Sean or J. Cole or any one of “freshman” who will grace XXL’s cover next winter. He’s just a guy who loves music, and actually has the talent do so. Read the rest of this entry »

Make Up Bag — The NEW video from The-Dream feat. T.I.!

Posted by Miss Allie Cole on June 4, 2010

For ALL of my The-Dream fans….he’s back, in a BIG way, with his second single, Make Up Bag, from his anticipated third album, titled Love King.

Once again with this song, he has managed to put us under his spell, perhaps you could even refer to it as a musical trance, with his notable, catchy beat and hook…”If you ever make your girlfriend mad, don’t let your good girl go bad, drop 5 stacks on that make up bag…Louis, Prada, Aramis, Fendi…”

This video stars Jason Weaver (Smart Guy, Drumline) as his best friend, and Selita Ebanks (Victoria’s Secret Model) as his love interest. Jason Weaver and The-Dream are very convincing as friends, and their we-go-back-like-two-flats-on-a-Cadillac chemistry makes for a hilarious, yet very relatable opening of the video. As he explains to his friend that he’s done wrong for “4 nights straight“, the video continues into a Jazz Era club, and I’m going to let you press play to see the rest….

Posted by Miss Allie Cole on May 27, 2010

Ladies, it’s summer time and that can me a lot of things, Bikini Season, beautiful weather, vacation, summer love…

Some of your summer love affairs will be with your man, but ladies AFTER you see these shoes, he MIGHT just have some competition!

The two shoe designers that you need to be on the lookout for this summer are Brian Atwood and Ruthie Davis. If these names don’t sound familiar to you, you have definitely seen them on the feet of your favorite celebrities.

Brian Atwood

Brian grew-up just outside of Chicago and has had his one-of-a-kind shoe line since 2001. But he’s no rookie, in fact, he was the first American to be hired by Gianni Versace in Milan and has also been recognized  by the CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) for having the best accessory design in 2004.

Brian is known for the sculptural structure and striking details that be puts into of his shoes that are made only of the finest luxury materials. Still not convinced?! –All of my Sex And The City fans know that Carrie Bradshaw, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, has a shoe game envied and adored simultaneously by women, young and old alike, all over the world….And just GUESS who designed exclusive pairs of shoes for Carrie in Sex And The City II ?! –That’s right, Brian Atwood.

But no more talking, you need to SEE this shoes ladies…

Booker Forte: Footwork to Usher – OMG

Posted by Mr. Put On on April 23, 2010

So a few years ago, I knew about this guy from Hampton University that supposedly danced for Omarion. As are most things on a college campus, you never know what’s true and what isn’t who really did what, and who’s really going where. Naturally I believed it, and to date don’t know the truth.

What I do know, is this guys name was Booker Forte, and that he left Hampton for the Cirque du Soleil (that part I knew to be true). I had watched a few You Tube videos and figured I’d see him on mtv, bet, and vh1 on music videos doing his thing. Kudos to another hard working individual.

I took my eye off his progress and went about my own life. Here we are today, and I look at WorldStar Hip-Hop only to see Booker Forte as the Dance Talent of the Week. Be sure to check back here for more on Booker and the moves he’s making. Cause this man’s grind and smooth moves are DEFINITELY #GradeA.

Duct Tape – “The Introduction” (by J. Tinsley)

Posted by T. Adeyemi on March 31, 2010

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Live and direct from the traps of the ‘A’ resides Duct Tape Entertainment. Over the past couple of months, you’ve seen posts here and there documenting the evolution of the company. Call ‘em what you like, but they’ve got a very respectable buzz both online and in the streets. Read the rest of this entry »

Grade A Affiliate: Rotimi “Beautiful Music” Video

Posted by T. Adeyemi on February 16, 2010

Allow me to have just a few minutes of your time as I personally reflect on the growth of Rotimi. As many of you have seen when you click on the Grade A New Artists tab, there’s a spot reserved for Rotimi. Now, I don’t want anything to be misconstrued or misunderstood, Rotimi is not signed to Grade A nor are we in some way part of his management team. However, we are some of his biggest supporters and will continue to follow his success. The New Jersey native has come a long way since I was first introduced to his music in May of 2009.
