Alicia Keys – Unthinkable (Video)

Posted by Mr. Put On on May 12, 2010

Here’s Alicia Keys latest video, for her single Unthinkable. The clash of ideals that keeps a man and a woman seperated/not on the same page is one for the history books, and goes much deeper than just color lines. Ones inner battle with “to be, or not to be….” can be paralleled with the boundaries created by race, wealth, education, etc. In this day and age, these limits are being pushed more than ever, and has moved into a new space even on the homosexual frontier. (Hit the jump for the rest of the article, photos, and the behind the scenes footage with Ms. Keys.)Nonetheless, one’s personal resolve to commit to another has and will always be an uneasy self-enthralled battle. With instruction from director Jake Nava, Ms. Keys and Chad Michael Murry (One Tree Hill) are able to bring life to this battle in the form of love vs. race. This video comes in a timely fashion, when the warm weather and summer time (historically proven) brings together people of many different walks of life, and often are left with decisions to be made.

Vacations, mini-vactions, day trips to the beach, nights out with the girls, so on and so forth, bring you in contact with so many people who the colder months can’t possibly afford you the opportunity of meeting. With that said, embrace the fresh breeze, and new people you come across this summer. “Flings” however interpreted, give you an opportunity to not only try something new, but to also learn something new about yourself.

In summation, this video is definitely Grade A, in both effort and achievement. Keep up the good work Alicia- “Got to Be Grade A
