Rick Ross & Triple C’s Feat. Masspike Miles- “Finer Things” (Video)

Posted by T. Adeyemi on February 2, 2010

Apparently extremely low album sales are not as big of a roadblock for an artist as you would have thought. (Kanye shrug) For the record, I have been a Rick Ross fan since his Port of Miami days. But despite his backing and appearance on every track on the album, Triple C’s has not come close to amassing the success the bearded one has had on his own.

Triple C’s debut album only sold just over 11,000 units in its first week, which was extremely low by Ross’s standards. However, this low number only added more fuel to Ross’s long time feud with 50 Cent. Fif’ on hearing of the album’s release predicted that Custom Cars & Cycles would not sell over 10, 000 copies in its first week. It turns out 50 wasn’t too far off either. I’m not sure if Ross counted that as a victory since 50 was proven wrong, but in the overall scheme of things Triple C’s is beginning to stand for Can’t Cell Copies. (I’m just sayin’)

Besides a string of YouTube videos displaying their hood prowess, and 1 street hit in “Yams” from early ’09 there hasn’t been much to be excited about concerning Ross’s understudies. In hearing the album I can tell why not to many albums were copped. Clearly, Ross needs to mold his young boys style and lyrics a lot more before their next release. But nonetheless, one of the highlight tracks off the album is this single featuring Masspike Miles. Call me bias but my home state cohort is the only other reason to listen to this track. Well, if you’ve already started watching the video then you can be the judge.
