Besides being a very talented singer/songwriter Keri Hilson without a doubt is one of the most naturally beautiful women in the music industry. Although, many may argue she is better at the latter, she certainly has never lacked personality. Recently, Ms. Hilson displayed that personality when she sat down for an interview with Billboard to talk about her 2 Grammy nominations.

Keri’s debut album In A Perfect World produced 6 singles worldwide, 3 of which received a great reception in the United States. Singles “Energy”, “Turnin’ Me On”, and “Knock You Down” all helped the R&B sensation reach gold status with her first solo release. Miss Miss Keri Baaaaabay (echo) is up for Best New Artist and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for her work with Kanye West & Ne-Yo on “Knock You Down.”

Being nominated for two awards at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards is an honor in which Hilson does not take for granted.

“I am so excited about the Grammy nominations. It is super, duper, duper exciting to just be mentioned,” Hilson tells Billboard.com. “Even to just be on the paper to be nominated — that is such an honor. Win or lose, I had an incredible 2009. I feel like I don’t have to take an award home to be pleased with my intro to this industry.”

The songstress stands up against some stiff competition in the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category against the likes of “Run This Town” & “Ego”. Win or lose, Keri has made her transition into the music industry quite successfully. Whether she decides to stay behind the scenes as a songwriter, or continue her endeavors in the limelight Keri’s value has been proven for years to come. Watch the video below for an acoustic version of “Knock You Down.”
