Michael Jackson: The Hip-Hop Beef Facilitator?

Posted by J. Tinsley on June 30, 2009

With all the news reports centerting around Mike’s alleged drug addictions and his financial woes, his humanitarian efforts sometimes go unnoticed. Aside from working with efforts that benefited September 11 and world hunger, he also specialized in attempting to end rap beefs.

Who knew?

The man of many talents attempted to end one of the most publicized battles of this decade, according to The Game. While in Canada on tour years ago attempting to cut his hair, Chuck recalled receiving a phone call from Michael Jackson who among many things said he thoroughly enjoyed his music including his hit singles “How We Do” and “Hate It Or Love It”.

After a few minutes minutes of harmless conversation, Jacko got right to the point.

“He got to this one thing that makes me laugh, man.” Game explained. “He said, ‘I don’t know how you’re gonna feel about this, but I want to ask you something. I don’t want you to judge me, but I don’t really know everything that’s going on between you and 50. But I want to be the middleman behind you putting this situation to bed.’ ”

Granted the beef didn’t end with the phone call (several moss diss records from the two, mainly Game, would surface), but it was a dream of Jackson to have all three on a record together.
