Unlike the majority of Americans, I’ve never really got into the Craiglist phenomenom. Aside from a few jobs and the occasional apartment search, I’ve never really utilized the site for its more “erotic” features. One time while I was in school, one of my professors had a lecture on the power of social media and the downfalls that accompany these sites.

One of the main topics tes he focused on was the “personals” section of Craigslist. Without getting too much into detail, it is rather easy to guess what most of these ads wanted, but “how” they wanted “it” was the crazy part. This is a family site, so again, I refuse to get into too much explaining.

However, with the memories of the “Craiglist Killer” still fresh in the country’s mind, more bad press for the anonymously horny is on the horizon.

Police in North Carolina have arrested a man they say arranged for  wife to be raped by another man via Craigslist and exposed himself to a pizza delivery woman in Virginia last year.

The husband is facing first-degree rape charges. The Associated Press, which generally does not identify victims of sexual assault, is not naming the man to avoid identifying his wife.

In the Virginia case, the man was staying at a hotel in March of 2008 and ordered a pizza. The delivery woman told police she was shocked when the man answered the door “dressed in only a towel.”

“The suspect handed the victim the cash for the pizza and then dropped his towel. The victim turned away to count out the change. As the victim turned back around to hand the suspect his change, the suspect once again dropped his towel, exposing himself a second time. The victim then left,” said the Chesterfield County, Va., police report.

Understandably, everyone has their own sexual preference. Homosexual, heterosexual. Bondage…whatever, it doesn’t bother me one bit because what happens behind closed doors should stay there for however many people are back there (if you’re into the group sex thing). However, no one should be raped and to schedule one is by far one of the most sadistic acts I’ve ever heard in my life.

Police in Kannapolis, about 25 miles northeast of Charlotte, said the man used Craigslist to fulfill his own fantasy of watching his wife being raped. His wife told The Associated Press this week that she has been “traumatized” by the attack, which she did not know about ahead of time.

  1. YIKES! No words for these type of people. I just can’t imagine how some people have it in them to commit these types of acts.
