Aside from the Redskins, D.C. isn’t a bad city at all and with the fate of the country resting in its small radius, the city is always a hot topic of discussion regardless of who resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. The music scene is flourishing as well. Aside from Wale, another name out the DMV is making serious noise and is poised for a mainstream breakout in the not-so-distant future.

Don Juan, who I alluded to the other day, dropped his official mixtape with former Rap City host, Big Tigger, and the aforementioned DJ Tay James earlier this morning. The tape also boasts features from DJ Drama, Bad Boy artist, Deangelo Redman, Blake Kelly, DJ Heat and the District’s own Big G (aka Slim Charles from “The Wire” and Backyard Band). The Bronx native, now formulating a buzz in the city Benjamin Bannaker mapped out, seems to have his city on smash. Now it’s time for the rest of the country to jump on board.

Hit the jump for the tracklist and link.
