"BACK TO ORLANDO WE GO…"

Posted by J. Tinsley on May 29, 2009

At least for one more game, the James Gang have a pulse rate. Fueled by LeBron’s mammoth triple-double, 37 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists, and help (finally) by several key players (Mo Williams with 24 points), the Cavs managed to do something they haven’t done the entire series, hold the Magic off down the stretch for a win in game five of the Eastern Conference Finals.

No real synopsis of this game other than if Cleveland plans to win game six and force a deciding game back at Quicken Loans Arena, they had better taken heed to what Kenny Smith and Charles Barkely preached during the post-game show. While the help for LeBron was there tonight, simply placing the ball in his hands at the free throw line and essentially playing one-on-five won’t work in Cleveland. The “guru”, Mike Brown, better think long and hard about how he can steal one in Orlando because Dwight’s not fouling out at home and Rashard Lewis won’t be off at home.

With that said, the lure that is the NBA playoffs manages to maintain its auora and TNT lives up to its now legendary slogan, “We know drama.”

And at least for one more night, the commercials still hold their relevance.
