One commodity that hasn’t seen any kind of shortage since “The Recession” started has been opinions. Everyone still has their originals about everything pre-Recession, and more than likely have added plenty to the list since then. When it comes to the NBA it’s no different. Although it seems this season many more non-basketball fans have had their opinions in regards to one LeBron James and his infamous Decision. Well guess what, LeBron apparently heard them all and he has a little something to say about it. Read the rest of this entry »
He was gone from the NFL, serving 18 months in Federal prison on charges or operating an illegal dogfighting ring. He lost millions of dollars from NFL, Nike and other endorsement deals. But despite what some call the greatest fall from grace, Michael Vick is once again a starting Quarterback in the National Football League.

The rumor mill is hard at work today if you haven’t heard the whispers have been that Carmelo Anthony is supposedly leaving the Denver Nuggets. This might be the best move for Carmelo since he might be joining the New York Knicks. He would finally be able to return to the state where he achieved glory at Syracuse wining a national championship after one year in college. He would also get out of the Western Conference where Kobe Bryant has claimed it as his own, so in real time Melo and the Nuggets wouldn’t be able to be on top of the conference for another five years. Going to the East where most of his draft class counterparts are (Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Darko Milicic) would make the East respectable to watch again. After being in the West where the competition is way more tougher he could probably dominate the East every night with his potential teammate Amare Stoudamire. It also could resurrect Madison Square Garden again at a perfect time. Remember the heated rivalry of the Heat and Knicks where you could always count on a brawl anytime the two teams met. Wouldn’t Spike Lee love to see this happen again and this is what the East needs again. And the last factor to all this is Miss Anthony, Lala she would love to go back to New York where her career first started at it would be the icing on the cake. Lets see how this all plays out and hopefully happens.
So to continue on with the NFL preview Im going to move to the AFC North. Stacked with a bunch of teams that cant wait to get another championship in the division with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens recent championship winners. The other two teams Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns have yet to see a championship but things might change for them. Read the rest of this entry »

Well Terell Owens finally has a home after a long off season. He will be playing for the Cincinattii Bengals and is welcomed with open arms by the receiver on the other side of the hash marks Chad Ocho Cinco. This could be the name the new dynamic duo in the league two explosive Number 1 receivers on the same team. There is not enough Defensive Backs and Line Backers to double both of them so this is going to cause BIG problems. Read the rest of this entry »
Training camp is on the horizon and the Brett Favre talks are at an all time high once again. This is three years straight when Favre still doesn’t know if he want to come back or not. The Vikings will wait untill next years Superbowl to wait for Favre to make this decision, since he was such a pivotal part of their playoff run last year. In my eyes Brett Favre just doesn’t want to go to training camp he has been attending for the last 18 years. Mark my word when the season starts Favre will be in a Vikings jersey and it will be the last jersey we see him in. But until that day can we stop with the Favee talk its older than he is.
I thought I had heard it all when Lebron said he was going to South Beach to join D Wade and Chris Bosh. It gets even crazier you remember the guy AnferneeHardaway might know him as Penny Hardaway well he has come out of retirement. And the first team he wants to play for is the Miami Heat, I wonder why? The last time I checked Penny had bad knees and couldn’t make it happen for the Magic back in 98 and Nike packaged little Penny up. I guess you have to do whatever it takes to get you a ring. Look what you started Mr. James now everybody wants to come to Miami. The only good thing that comes from this is Nike starts making Lil Penny and Lebron James puppet commercials.
Before there was a Jerry Jones running the NFL and Mark Cuban running the NBA there was a guy in New York who gave them the blue print. George Steinbrenner was the man in New York that single-handedly built a team of champions. From the first day he was in New York he made his presence felt making all the biggest moves to build his Yankee dynasty who won 7 championships. So it was a shockwave all over the MLB and sports world when Steinbrenner died on Tuesday of a massive heart attack. Even at 80 yrs old you could always catch him sitting right in the front row like a proud season holder. At least the Yankees gave Steinbrenner one more championship last year just in time. Those are defitnley going to be big shoes for his sons to feel but it should already be in their blood.
