“Reppin my Town, when you see me you know everything, Black & Yellow…”

Pittsburgh, PA’s own Wiz Khalifa released his latest video over weekend, in which he displays the different facets of his town. Pittsburgh’s steel mill tough mentality have always been front and center. Whether you’re talking about they’re notoriously supportive but gritty Steelers fans or the middle-class blue-collar workers that make up the core of P-Town they have never lacked toughness.

Khalifa’s rise to prominence exemplifies the mindset of his hometown. By taking the independent route he took a working man’s approach to establishing a fan base. Now with the release of his debut album on Atlantic Records steadily approaching in early 2011, Khalifa hasn’t lost his grassroots feel.

“Black and Yellow” was filmed throughout the streets of Pittsburgh and displays why the town has been nicknamed, “The City of Bridges.” The video is a nice compliment to the song’s strong beat, courtesy of super producers Stargate. With plenty of Pittsburgh paraphernalia and scenery Wiz’s stays true is this visual. With top tier production, a growing fan base, and a unique sound The Steel City’s son seems hopeful that ”Black and Yellow” will become his immaculate reception to not just Hip hop, but the entire world.
